The definition on classlessness in the NFL...
New England Patriots Coach Bill Belichick, fresh off of a 52-7 annihilation of the Washington Redskins, stared blankly at a reporter Sunday evening when asked about going for it on not one, but two fourth down plays early in the fourth quarter while already up 38-0 (including a fourth and one on the Skins seven yard line). "What do you want us to do, kick a field goal?" he says. Are you kidding me? Talk about classlessness and arrogance. Now, as many of you know, I am a Dallas Cowboys fan (who have already fallen to the Pats 48-27 in week 6), so I could not have been happier to see the Skins get their heads handed to them, but come on. As a professional organization, you have to know when enough is enough. I was surprised no one on the Redskins side of the ball tried to take that smirk off of Pats quaterback Tom Brady, even if it was after the whistle.

The Patriots (8-0), travel to Indianapolis to face the defending Super Bowl champion Colts (7-0) in a matchup of unbeatens this Sunday at 4:15. With an ever-growing bullseye painted right on the side of their helmets, the only people routing for the Pats this Sunday will be Boston natives (who are loving life right about now with a Red Sox World Series win) and the other fans they have throughout the country. Everyone else will be routing for the Colts, including me. Now, don't get me wrong, the Patriots are far and away the best team in the NFL, but that position deems some sort of class. In week one, Belichick and the Patriots were caught cheating (they had a person videotaping the hand signals being sent to the New York Jets sidelines). Commisioner Roger Goodell fined the Pats and took away a first round draft pick for next year (something the Pats will not miss). It seems now that Coach Belichick and the Patriots are showing that they are not cheaters, and that they are going to continually beat the ever-loving piss out of the opposition with a middle-finger up the whole time.

The Skins game on Sunday was over at halftime (the Pats up 24-0 and getting the ball to open the second half), yet Brady remained in the game until there were about 10 minutes or so left in the fourth quarter. After going for it on fourth and one at the Skins seven, and getting the first down, the Pats THREW THE BALL to Wes Welker for Tom Brady's 30th TD pass this season, a career mark only 8 games into the campaign for Brady. Run up the score much Coach Belichick? Last week, the Dolphins criticized the Pats of running up the score after they took out second string QB blah and put Brady back on the field. He threw another TD pass late in the game. Against the Dallas Cowboys, the Pats ran the ball in from the goal line instead of opting to kneal on the ball with less than a minute left to take a 21 point lead. Players DO NOT forget in sports, and the crosshairs on the Pats helmets grows bigger and bigger as the weeks go on. This weekend, hopefully, the Colts will finally pull the trigger.

Class? Apparently not in the Patriots vocabulary.

Yehh
So I went to see the new Halloween movie last night. Now, being a huge fan of the original (I think it is one of the single best horror film ever made), I went into the remake with very low expectations. Also, I am not a huge fan of Rob Zombie (I haven't seen The Devil's Rejects, but I saw House of 1000 Corpses, and was not pleased). I am not a big fan of remakes. I did not like the Texas Chainsaw remake. I did like The Ring (remade from a Japanese film). I did like the Dawn of the Dead remake. I did not like the Fog remake (to be honest I have only watched a little bit of it, and it was horrible). Anyway, Hollywood needs to start thinking of original ideas. I have heard that there are talks of remaking Hellraiser and possibly Nightmare on Elm Street. Ugh. Back to the review. So, with my low expectations in tow, I sat down to watch the movie. The first 40 or so minutes of the movie are Michael when he is a kid. At first I thought, they have to cast this kid really well for this to work. You know what, they sorta did. The kid had a very terrifying, psychotic feel to him. In fact, I think all of the kids were cast really well in this movie. Well, anyway, little Michael lives in a very abusive home. His mother is a stripper (played by Rob Zombie's wife, Sherri Moon Zombie), his father figure is a drunkard who hates him, his older sister is a slut, and his younger sister is only a baby. So, Michael has it pretty rough, one might say. As a way to let out his anger and emotion, he begins killing animals. It starts with a pet rat, but at school they find a dead cat in his backpack. One day at school, after an altercation with some kids in a bathroom, Michael is taken to the office. The principal calls Michael's mother in, and shows him the dead cat found in the backpack and other polaroids of dead animals. His mother is completely in denial about the whole thing. The principal brings in a psychiatrist named Samuel Loomis who tells the mom that this kind of behavior normally leads to worse behavior. Once again, she is in denial and refuses to believe anything. That night, which happens to be Halloween, Michael shows his rath. While his mom is at work, he is left alone at home. His sister is with her guy friend in her room, and his abusive father guy is planted in front of the TV. So, Michael begins to kill. The killing starts off with a bang (I won't give anything away here). The brutalness of the kills is shocking at times, and really adds to the psychoticness of Michael. He obtains the mask here too, which is actually kind of cool. Needless to say, he ends up in a psychiatric ward with Dr. Loomis as his psychiatrist. Micahael is asked about Halloween night, and he says that he does not remember anything. He thinks his family is still alive. Time passes (15 years), and Michael begins to stop talking. Loomis, visiting for the last time, explains to Michael that he is done with researching him. From here, the movie takes a turn. It sort of becomes an exact remake of the original (just somewhat updated). The girls that are cast know their roles: be hot (check), get naked (check), have sex (check), and then die in different brutal ways (check). Oh yeah, and be super annoying (check check check). Michael Myers is actually cast well in this movie, and has a lot of the nuances from the original (i.e. his movements, head turns, etc.). This review is all over the place, so I will sum it up here:

The beginning was very believable, and makes sense in why Michael does what he does. The second half was ok, but way too fastly paced. There was some good, and some bad. The good was some of Zombie's shots were very well done. The bad was no character development, stupid dialogue for the girls, and obvious things (such as the two cops that come at the end. You just knew that they were there to die... ha, I actually thought it would be funny if one of them killed Myers, and was the hero). Also, the trailer gave away a huge scare, which sucked.

All together, this movie was better than I thought, but not as good as it could have been. I give it 2.5 stars. Bye.

Best time of the year
It is getting to be the best time of the year. The season is changing. Fall is upon us. I love this part of the year when it gets colder out. I am going to try and make this a fall for the ages (lame I know). I don't know how, but it is my mission. Ha, watch it be all hot until like November. That would suck so bad. I hope the temp drops in the next two weeks or so. High in the middle 50's and low's in the 40's sounds good to me. Football is also starting (tonight actually) and before I know it, hockey too. Kickass. I hope both of my teams do well this season. Here's to hoodie weather, and the changing of the season.

Styrofoam Cup?
Yo yo,

Today is hump day!!! YAYYYY! So an update. Yup. Let's seeeee. Just picked up the new Metroid game for the Wii and it rules on so many levels. You know, I am a member of the Blockbuster Online thing, and I haven't watched a movie from there in like a month. Maybe I should cancel... Been kinda lazy these past few weeks. Hopefully I'll go on a bike ride later today. I need some exercise for sure. My mom got her new place in Hampden, and it is friggin sweet. I went there on Sunday and chilled. I sat on the porch and read some, and it was beautiful out. Only complaint was I got bit about 10 times by a mosquito. I am thinking about buying a nice video camera (I'm talking 5000 bucks nice). Then I could do freelance work, and make my own videos too. Yuppers. Aight, laters.

End of summer (sort of)
Summer is winding down and I for one am kind of excited. This is the best time of year for sure (the change to fall, then to winter). It's still damn hot out. Can't wait for hoodie weather. Can't wait for football to start. Can't wait for hockey to start. Can't wait for Halloween. My dog is visiting for the week, and it is awesome. I love coming home from work and begin greeted by an animal. I wish I had more time to devote to a puppy, cause I would get one. That is all for now. My skin is still peeling from being sunburnt. Sux. Laters.

The beach
So we went to the beach this weekend, and it was super kick ass. Friday night was basically all of us (me, Kevin, Lindsay, Noah, Shannon, Jess, Greg, Travis, and Clavelle) getting drunk and going out on the beach around 1 am. Lindsay and I had to pee, so we decided it would be a great idea to go in the ocean. We had our flip flops in our hands, so we dropped them and went to the bathroom. When we were done, we could not find the flip flops for the life of us. Being drunk and it being dark out did not help the situation. So we looked everywhere on the beach for them. I'm guessing a good 20 minutes went by, and we still didn't find them. It wasn't that big of a deal, but they were the only shoes I had brought, so I had to find them. Well, I eventually gave up, and we walked away. Then, we were back on the boardwalk, and I look towards the ocean in the dark and pull an Ace Ventura. I see something, and I scream "What the hell is that?" and start running towards what I see. Low and behold it was our flip flops. I was probably a good 50 yards away, drunk and it was dark out but I found them. Then, Lindsay and I went swimming in the pool, which was already gated up for the night. It was awesome, and we didn't get kicked out. Then everyone else came back from wherever they were, and Kevin and Travis decided to go swimming. They were not even loud, yet they got caught. Kind of funny. The next day was spent on the beach, and I got sort of sun burnt. That night we went to eat dinner at this place called Shenanigans, and it was so good. I got a crab cake sandwich. Then we drank some more, and went to the boardwalk. I stayed sober though. Sunday we played mini golf, and then I drove Noah and Shannon home in Noah's car. Great times indeed. Alrighty, later.

Sup everyone who reads this (no one probably). I am updating... crazy. It's 11:27am on Sunday the 5th of Feb. I came home this weekend to watch my dog cause my dad went to Florida. I'm going to Clone's tonight to watch the Super Bowl in HD and get patronized up the wazoo. I did community service on Thursday for the gayness that occured on New Years. It was not nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be. We went to this armory thing called Camp Fedderet and basically shredded papers with Steve for a good three hours. Then, because we had "worked so hard" we got an hour lunch. After lunch we basically did nothing until it was time to go. Yeah, not hard at all. Steve did it again on Saturday and actually got off 2 hours early. Oh well. My two classes are cool. Corporate video is gonna kick ass. ALright, im gone. Bye?

An update...FROM ME...ARE YOU SERIOUS?!...WOWWWWWWWW!
Hello?

Yeah that's right...I am updating...

This summer has been pretty sweet. I moved at the beginning, and have been working my arse off. I get two days off a week and on one of those days I have my internship from 9-5. SO yeah, kinda bites. I am really looking forward to the fall though. Jawhar moved out like last week, so now I am all alone in this place. It really feels like there is no one living in the entire building right now except me. Kind of weird. Call me stupid but I am actually looking forward to school starting. But, I am going to try and make the best of these last few weeks of summer. Warped Tour on wed, beach the week after that and Green Day on Aug. 30th.

This weekend was Lindsay's 21st birthday and we did two nights of celebrating. Friday night we went to Sonar and that was sweet as hell. I love that place, and the DJ was kicking out the jams. Everyone was dancing, and I think everyone had fun. Saturday night we went to Fells Point. We all took cabs, and there was like at first 8 of us, and then other people came. Lia tried using her fake at this one bar but the bouncer was a dick and was asking her all these questions, and then he pulled the "what's your sign?" question and she didn't know so he took her ID. That was a crappy way to start the night, but oh well. SHe had to leave cause she couldn't get into any bar. Then we went to this sweet bar called Max's on Broadway and chilled there for like 3 hours. They had all kinds of beers and a wall of cigars. There were two levels, and it was just a really chill bar. Then, we went to this pizza place that kicked ass. Pizza when you're drunk rules. The place was packed as hell too. Then we left. Sweet weekend.

Well, back to being alone in my apartment. Gotta go to work in an hour. Ug.

Later.

weird
so i went home yesterday, and it's the second time i have been home since my parents split up. last time was may 19th to see star wars, and it was not that bad until that night when my dad and i got home from the movie. it was just so weird to come home to a completely empty house (except for heidi). the presence of my mom was just not there, and that was just really strange. that empty presence of my mom was super weird, and something that in my 22 years living in the same house, never have felt. well, i went back yesterday to sleep there because my dad is going away this week and someone needs to watch the dog. heidi has been acting strange ever since my mom left, and who can blame her? some people may think dogs can't sense something like the situation at home, but i disagree. it used to be that we could leave the dog in the house alone for up to 10 hours plus and there would be no problems. but now, even if she is left home alone for more than an hour she gets into crap all over the house (whether it be pushing the linen closet open and taking out the toilet paper, or messing up all of the newspapers, etc.). she is definitely a smart animal, and she knows something is not the same at home, even if it's the simple fact that my mother's presence is gone. so, anyway, i went home last night and i slept at home all alone. that's nothing new becaise i spend a lot of nights alone in the apt in towson, but being alone in your own home, especially after what has transpired these past weeks, is certainly strange. i had trouble sleeping. i can definitely see why if thing's don't work out between my parents, my dad would want to sell the house. not only are there memories a plenty, but like stated before, my mom's presence is gone. strange that something inanimate such as a persons presence can change thing's so much. in the past my mom could leave for a week on vaction or something, but i knew that she would be coming back, so her presence remained. unfortunately, this time it is tough to say if she is going to come back.

sup
hey,
havent updated in a lil while. Let's see, lots has happened in the past weeks. There was of course the super bowl which the patriots won (and I won five dollars). I watched it at clones house in HD and it was money. School has been ok. This week I didnt have that much work to do, but I know that it will probably be the only week where I have little work to do. Valentines Day is coming up and I don't have a Valentine. Ah well. That holiday is only cool obviously when you have a valentine. We went out on Thursday night to this bar called Ryan's daughter and it was pretty cool up until the end. It was me, kevin, lindsay, christine, dawn, nikki, katherine, katherines friends, scotty, jason, noah, and others. I got pretty drunk along with Noah and Kevin. Noah started to steal beer from the tap while no bartenders were looking and he kept doing it. Eventually he got caught, and thats when all hell broke loose. The bartender (obviously drunk himself) grabbed Noah and took him to the back (in a headlock). Then they started yelling and shit for us to "Get the FUCK out of the bar!" So we left, and when we were outside waiting to see where NOah was, the bartender came out and pointed directly to me and claimed i had spilled beer on the bar, which I did but who cares? It's a bar, spills happen. He made me go back in (kevin joined) and clean up what I spilled. It was nothing, but the whole time people were yelling at us to leave and it was just a mess. Needless to say, we are officially banned from that bar. Luckily no one got arrested or anything. Tonights scotty's valentines day party, so that should be fun. im not trying to get too drunk, but im going. aight, gotta work at 2 so ill ttyl.

mama said there'd be days like this
Hey,
Been a productive few days. School started on Wednesday and that was pretty cool. My editing class is sweet. It's gonna be a lot of work, but I think it's gonna be a real cool class. We're watching a lot of movies in it. On the first day we learned certain editing terms and styles, and then saw clips from movies that showed that term or style. It's in a real big lecture hall (theres like 80 people in the class) so when we watch the movies its going to be like watching a movie in a theater. Um, Thursday I had my sex ed class (at 9:30am) and we literally watched porn in there. It was this film called "A Quickie" and that's what it was exactly, a quickie. A couple meet, take off their clothes, go at it, and then clothe back up. It was awesome. Went to another class that afternoon, and then had a lab at 4 for editing class. I got to learn a lot more about the Avid (the program we use to edit). After that, Derek and I went to Borders and I used the rest of my gift certificate on a book called "Rebels on the Backlot". It's about six of the most important directors of the 90's (including Quentin Tarantino, Steven Soderbergh, Spike Jonze, David Fincher, etc.) and how they basically redefined the Hollywood system. Seems cool. That night Kevin, me, Scotty, Lindsay, Lia, Eric, Karen and this guy called Spanish went to Fridays. As always, Fridays was sweet. We found out not only is it 2 dolalr Corona night on Thursdays, but also 2 dollars on all drafts. Ha, I tried talking to some girl's friend to see if this one girl was single, which she was not. This girl I talked to had an attitude, like she wanted her friend for herself. Ah well. Next day, I worked at 4 until 9 and then we went out again. We actually hit up Fridays again too. Me, Kevin, Scott and Jason this time. We met up with some people at Fridays. The place was mad packed. It was sweet. Then, we went to bowl in Timmonium because Jason and Scott's roommate Ethel was running the bar. We actually didnt bowl cause it was way too expensive. We shot pool for free and drank free beer. On the way out I did one of those claw machines and won a Cincinatti Red hat. YEAHHHHHHHH. Then we stopped by Dawn, Nikki, Kathryn and Christine's place cause they had some people over. Pretty sweet. Then, sadly, the night was over. I worked today, and watched the movie Ray, which was really good. Jamie Foxx is a damn good actor. Aight, over and out.

Aqua Teen Hunger Force...number one in the hood g
Hey,
Another update, and oh so soon. Yesterday was by far the craziest night of working at Blockbuster in my entire career of working there. Normally we do around 1000 transactions or so on a weekend night, but last night we did upwards of 3000. The line was so friggin long, and it was absolutely insane. Just the mention of snow makes people around here go crazy. Luckily I didnt have to close, so I left around 9:30 and got some Burger King. Then, around 11 or so, Kevin got back from work and we picked up Lindsay and met people at Sonar. It was me, Kevin, Lindsay, Karen, Rachel, Lia and this guy named Mike. Rachel left almost exactly when we got there. Sonar was pretty cool. I got shot down trying to ask some girl to dance, but oh well...its her loss. We left Sonar at like 1:50 or so, and then came back. The next day I woke at like 12:30, and it was already snowing. They called for 8 to 10 (or even 12) inches of snow, but we got about 5 to 6 inches. Seems like thats how it always is here in MD. They go crazy over the snow, and they over do it like anything. Didnt really do much until 5, cause I still had to work. Getting to work was an absolute bitch. My car got stuck like 4 times. People in their four wheel drive kept driving by me. Fucking assholes. Work was ok, and it was much busier than I thought. Well, that's it.

It is niiiiiiiice
Yo yo yo...
Today our new President was sworn into office for his next term. YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!I was actually watching his inauguration today on CNN and they were like "okay, it looks like we have a live audio feed from the parade route...let's take you down there." So, once they cut to the feed you couldn't hear anything except a Bush protester (sp?) yelling "FUCK BUSH!" like six times. It was awesome. Anyways, after watching the inauguration shit Kevin and I went to Columbia. He had to pick up his van and I wanted to go out to dinner with my family. Kevin had his mom's Ford Probe because his van was in the shop. On the way there Kevin was like "yeah, this car always seems to fuck up whenever I drive it." And, as he was saying it (I kid you not) the car stopped working and we coasted off of 695 to the shoulder. It was pretty funny because we had to call a tow truck and Lindsay came to pick us up which was super cool. She still drove us back to Columbia and I still got to go out with my family and Kevin got to get his van. After I went to dinner, we went back to my house and I looked at my dads record collection. I borrowed some pretty sweet records (Beatles "Rubber Soul", Iron Butterfly "In-agadda-divida", Zeppelin and more). Then Kevin picked me up and we went back to Towson. I heard some Godspeed (this instrumental band) on the way back, and they were pretty cool. Brian Clavelle and Travis were supposed to hang when we got back but they didnt (Clavelle is going to Denmark tomorrow to study abroad...kinda crazy). But, we still went out to Friday's for drinks and food. Me, Lia, Lindsay, Kevin, my friend Ryan, and his friend Amanda went. We chilled and then Scotty, Jason, Randy, Brandy, and Dean came and chilled too. Around 1ish we left and went over to Lidsays and chilled and played drinking games. Good times. Well, it was an interesting day off today, and tomorrow I only work 4 to 9 and then im going to Sonar, so it should be cool. Gotta make the best of the last few days of the winter break that we have. Aight, it's like 3 AM so I'm out.

week end
This weekend I went home. I worked Friday night and sold eight movie passes (which is pretty damn good and it earned me a ten dollar gift card). Yeah. The next day (after like no sleep at all) I went to Columbia. My sis and I went to the Salvation Army off of route 1 and I found two awesome records: Simon and Garfunkel "Bridge Over Troubled Water" and The Eagles Greatest Hits. I think the guy rang me up wrong too cause it was only like 2 bucks for both. It was cool. Then, I went back home, did laundry and watched some playoff football with my pops. Then around 7ish I went to Clones house to hang with Derek and Clone. We watched Alien vs. Predator (which kinda sucked) and just kinda hung out. The next day I watched more football and then chilled with Derek that night. Instead of driving back to Towson on Sunday night, I went back home and actually slept downstairs in my house. It was weird to sleep in a different place than normal, but it was cool. Monday I really didnt do much, and drove back to Towson around 2ish and worked at 5. Overall, an OK weekend..."Two Thumbs Up" from Ebert and Roeper. Alright, school starts in like one week from Wed, which is ok with me. Getting kinda bored with winter break already, and I think its actually too long because if you think about it, because its so long it takes away from the summer break. Well, off to bed. Goodnight and god speed.
